Johnny Ferlita Memorial Fishing Tournament

The 12th Annual Johnny Ferlita Memorial Fishing Tournament presented by Economos’ Entourage will be held May 31 – June 1, 2013, at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club in Tampa, Florida. This fantastic weekend is full of festivities for the entire family.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, May 31 with the Captain’s Party featuring dinner, dancing, live music, and a fantastic live and silent auction.

Anglers wake up bright and early on Saturday, June 1, and enjoy a day of fishing in the one-day catch and release tournament for redfish, Spanish mackerel, and trout. After a full day of fishing, anglers return to the Tampa Yacht and Country Club for a celebration with trophies for the largest catches in each division. New to the tournament last year was the children’s angler entry. All child anglers receive a children’s angler bag and a fishing rod for their participation.

This tournament honors the life of the beloved “Speed King of the Waterways,” Johnny Ferlita. The Pediatric Cancer Foundation is grateful for the tremendous support of all participants. Since 2001, the Johnny Ferlita Memorial Fishing Tournament has raised over $550,000 for pediatric cancer research. We hope you will join us for this wonderful event!
