Grand Slam Celebrity Fishing Tournament

The Yerrid Foundation Grand Slam Celebrity Fishing Tournament presented by Bonefish Grill is the premier fishing tournament on Florida’s West Coast. It will be held October 18-20, 2013, at the breathtaking Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. This festive weekend is filled with fishing, food, and fun for a very special cause!

The weekend kicks off on Friday morning with the Steve Yerrid Kid’s Fishing Derby, which gives children in the community who are battling cancer the opportunity to simply be kids and fish alongside celebrities, top area fishing guides, sponsors, and volunteers. Other activities include a parade, aquatic exhibitions, training in knot tying, lunch, and an awards ceremony where every child is honored.

Friday evening’s Fishermen’s Ball brings together tournament sponsors, anglers, celebrities, and guides to support the research to find a cure for pediatric cancer. Guests will enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an incredible auction in the Renaissance Vinoy’s beautiful Tea Garden.

On Saturday and Sunday, participants will enjoy two full days of competitive inshore fishing for redfish, snook, and trout.
