Plan a Fundraiser
Many supporters ask how they can help us in our mission to find a cure for pediatric cancer. There are countless ways to help raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Some of the most effective fundraising efforts are the easiest ones to put together, so we encourage you to join forces with your friends, co-workers, or community groups in organizing your very own fundraiser! Below are some easy fundraising ideas.
Donate by Design: Create a unique giving program based on the wants of employees. A company in Tampa responded to their employees request to wear jeans on Fridays by creating Dollar Denim Days, a program that allows employees to wear denim in exchange for a dollar donation to a designated charity. This program raised over $2,000 for pediatric cancer research and employees enjoyed being casual for a cause.
Carwash, Bake Sale, or Yard Sale: You can use any opportunity to help raise money for children with cancer. Community carwashes are great ways for everyone to get involved in raising money for kids with cancer. We even had a group do a community dog wash that raised over $1,500 for PCF! Or gather friends together to sell sweet treats, homemade jewelry, and crafts items and advertise that the proceeds benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Clean out the closets and attic for a yard sale that will help fund research.
Organize a Special Event or Name PCF as the Beneficiary of an Existing Event: Special events can range from 5k runs and fishing tournaments to casino nights, karaoke shows, and dinner dances. We even had an 8 year old ask people to make donations to PCF instead of giving her birthday gifts and she raised over $700!
There are an endless number of easy and simple ways that you can help. Just make it fun!
Every donation makes a difference. So whether the event is small or large, the funds donated to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation help us achieve our mission.
